The 2nd day of camp is pretty much an exact replica of the first day of camp and therefore the "Groundhog Day" reference. Our wake up call came in at 4:25 while the rest of the crew received their's at 4:50. Out the door at 5:05, 10 minutes ahead of the rest of the camp.
The weather was almost a carbon copy of Monday with the exception of being about 5-degrees cooler. The 2nd photo shows the lane assignments for the Palmer snowfield for today and the number of skiers is quite manageable with no significant lift lines.
The courses held up surprisingly well again albeit with the help of 30 - 40 lb. bags of salt. The entire crew was hard at it right up until noon. Thankfully the Mile lift was again fully functional for down-loading today.
The afternoon was spent tuning & setting up skis for one more day of SL training; GS training starts on Thursday. The forecast indicates clear weather with thankfully a slight cooling trend on the way.
