To better understand what actually takes place at Mt. Hood we attended our 1st summer camp in 1998. This concept quickly evolved from chaperoning a young ski racer into being actively involved with the equipment testing process.
Being an independent shop has enabled us to keep our finger on the pulse of ski racing product development & conduct our own equipment assessment void of any manufacturers bias.
Fischer, Head, Nordica & Rossignol have all made significant committments to ski racing by staffing & stocking test centers with he latest & greatest in next year's gear.
Through our close association with the aforementioned race departments we are accessing, setting up and recording test results for 30+ pair(s) of skis a day for athletes in Sailer, Team Gilboa & TR2 camps.
For the past 17 years no other shop in the ski industry has made the same committment and investment in product testing as we have. What we learn at Mt. Hood enables us to provide the most accurate equipment recommendations to help our customers ski their fastest.
I will be posting a daily blog from Mt. Hood for the next 2 weeks providing insight as to what takes place during summer camp. Hopefully you will enjoy following along and for former campers I hope it brings back fond memories of Govy, Huck shakes & the Pierce Crew.
